Is this the same place I'm seeing on food network diners drive ins & dives with guy fieri???
On a wharf on the water. Great fish tacos, scallops and fish sandwich.
At $28, twin lobsters, corn on the cob, steamers, and mussels is STILL a great deal on Tuesdays! Been going there for about 15 years every summer! Great value and "Cape Cod" atmosphere.
MoreI'm giving it 4 stars because our waiter was good. I had sushi and it was pretty lackluster. The wasabi looked like it had been left in the sun for a day, the ginger was equally beaten up. The spicy tuna was mostly filler and the shrimp tempura h may have had a birthday before it made it to the table. No matter what, order something different.
MoreBeautiful view of Marina and Eel Pond at Woods Hole.Awesome Tuesday special on 2-4-1 whole lobster with mussels and steamers!π€©Great weather, awesome people! Will be back again, very soon!! π
MoreAmazing view and you can sit outside on the patio. Food was pretty good!
You can always tell empty restaurants in the summer down on cape be wary !! I still went in to try there famous portuguΓͺs mussels . To my disappointment they donβt have them on menu anymore so ordered the regular mussels in garlic and fish tacos. Took 30 minutes to get the food and food was cold. Tacos fell apart , mussels cold like right out of fridge. Horrible, one restaurant off my comeback list! Pretty good food presentation but horrible service and cold over salted and spicy food!
MoreIts a nice looking place but I got the fried shrimp platter ($22) and it had only five pieces of shrimp! And they were not even that good! No cocktail sauce either and the coleslaw was just not good. I would recommend going to some of the amazing small places on the cape, like the beach shacks. Theyβll taste amazing and be a good deal less expensive. My family had other dishes, very hit or miss. The drinks were universally bad.Edit: if you want to eat out in Woods Hole, Landfall is amazing and similarly priced. Also im upping my review to twi stars cause the waitress was super nice.
MoreFood was great. Service was fast and friendly.
Portions were a bit small for the price paid. I had the fishermen's platter which was tasty but fairly small in quantity. My husband had the fried oysters which he enjoyed. We loved the seeing the scenic harbour as we ate and enjoyed the ambiance. We were a bit disappointed with the clam fritters, we barely tasted any fish in it. Our waitress was very sweet though and made our experience a memorable one. Definitely worth a visit.
MoreGreat place for lobsters. Right on the docks eatery.
Great location and views, nice floating seating area. Servers were pleasant and helpful. We were very disappointed in the mix drinks and the main meals were just average. Calamari appetizer was good, served with fresh lemon and sauce.
MoreTasted delicious. Portion size is absolutely ridiculous. Prices definitely are overpriced according to portion size. Pretty sure a couple of the raw oysters were illegal size. Very disappointed considering I'm a local. Not to.mention we didn't get any salt, pepper, ketchup or tartar sauce. By the time the server came back, we were done.
MoreNice view, food are good. They allow with us our dog Alexa to dine in.
Awesome dinner!!! Fantastic service and food was OFF THE CHARTS. Highly recommend...will definitely be back again!!!
MoreGreat sandwiches and nice staff.
Shuckers has a nice outside space that was a tad too chilly for a windy, early summer day. Nonetheless, this is a great place to grab a couple drinks and the lunch options are pretty good. Get the fried scallop roll and you won't be disappointed. Also, ask for a side of the aioli to dip your fries in because they make it right.
MorePretty good food. Nice ambiance, dog-friendly.
Was there 30 minutes waiting for a server after we were seated...walked out. Nice view though.
MoreThe food was just okay, but to be fair, how can you f* up steaming a lobster? We ordered our apps and entrees at the same time, assuming, I suppose, at our own fault, that it would be coursed. Spending $3 an oyster and not have time to enjoy all 24 was a shame. Also, the shrimp cocktail was not up to par; maybe for a seafood fra diavolo or, dare I say a taco...Want a drink? Want tartar sauce? Want lemons? Good luck to you. Maggie was our waitress and dropped the food to the table and abruptly left as we were asking for basic necessities like silverware, share plates, salt and pepper. All three of our party is in the hospitality business; we know going back to work during Covid is hard and uncomfortable but honestly, this was a horrible experience. After working so hard through the whole pandemic and wanting just a night off to enjoy, we just really felt like an inconvenience and thatβs a shame.
MoreWent for lunch. Friendly staff. Had choice of seating so I sat outside on the"barge" which was nice. I had the stuffed quahog as an appy and baked scrod as main course. Quahog was okay. Could've done with little less grit/sand and the bottom as over baked. Scrod on the other hand was good. The asparagus was little wilted and the mashed potatoes tasted different but hey maybe that's the way it's supposed to be?
MoreGood classic New England fare, nice atmosphere!
Comfortable location in among the boats in the marina. We sat outside and had a good assortment of small plates and drinks. The beer selection was shorter than is customary these days, but still a fair number of beers on tap and in bottle/can. The one cocktail (vodka martini) was too heavy on the vermouth. The food was tasty and well prepared.
MoreGreat service and the food was delicious!! We had a larger group, some ordered specials, others off the regular menu. Highly recommend.
MoreMmm-mmm. Probably the best lobster in Woods Hole. Do the thing proper and order their twin lobster dinner, and thank me later. You'll get some clams and mussels, whole boiled lobsters, and an ear of corn. Yum yum. It's a pretty decent size to split for two diners, for smaller appetites. They've got other interesting fare, too. Try some of their small plates. They did away with their sushi offerings within the last year, but it's no big loss. These guys specialize in lobster and fried seafood and cool appetizers and of course, their raw bar. They've got a full bar to boot, with plenty of unusual mixed drinks to try. Honestly don't think I've ever had anything BAD here (their sushi bar was hit-or-miss but is now gone) and I've been eating there for about 15 years now. Definitely try Shuckers before the nearby Captain Kidd's (also good but pricier) and the Landfall (not as good and horrifyingly pricey). They know what they are doing with lobster.
MoreFun and good sandwich. Staff were nice and friendly. Maybe a little burned out from the busy summer. You can sit outside on the dock in back and watch the birds and gulls. Don't feed them!!
MoreThis place is great. Seated us outside (a big family with small kids) easily at lunchtime. Delicious drinks and food. Friendly vibes. Get the mussels.
MoreThe Best!!!! Nicely tucked away on the marina with beautiful Cape Cod ambiance. Great food combos, love the steamers and oysters!!! Perfect service every time - the staff is smart, sweet and professional.
MoreThe food was delicious, the service was great, and the view was sensational
A group of 12 of us came in from the lower cape. Several ordered fisherman's platter and it was anIncredibly Small amount of food for a large amount of money. They came out lukewarm and limp. The lobster roll was nice though. Service was very extremely friendly and pleasant.I wrote to owner and hopefully they will increase size and lower costs.
